Hi, Hello! My name is Sarah - the writer behind redgregory.com.
What are morning pages? The definition varies for every user, but essentially it is a time and place set aside every morning for free-writing. Some like to use their morning pages to write without prompts or guides. Others have a set of questions to answer about the day before or life in general.
Why Morning Pages?
- If you do a lot of writing for work it's nice to start writing and get the ball rolling early.
- If you're prone to high levels of stress, writing about the day before can be a good way to keep stress from the past in the past and to move forward with mental clarity.
- If you want to generate an extra boost of motivation, I like to freely brainstorm ideas (practical and impractical) every morning to stimulate and inspire my productivity for the day.
Morning Pages Template
If you want to create prompts, you can use templates in Notion to set them up. The following are questions that I loosely answer every morning. (You can duplicate this page to view or use the template)

I Launched A Premium Library In My Shop
This is the first paid template I've properly promoted and I plan to launch many more this year. Here's some of my thoughts on launching this:
I ordinarily offer my templates for free as most of you probably know. I believe sharing knowledge is highly valuable even when the price is free. In addition to my free content I want to start putting a price on templates that are more complex, have more pages, relations, and/or advanced formulas (a.k.a large organized systems).
The Collect HQ in a nutshell:
- Collect articles, books, and movies in three different databases.
- All three databases are connected to a genres database with 77 pre-filled options.
Some Personal News
Luckily, as my quarantine comes to a close with both my parents vaccinated and a place for me to stay away from vulnerable family members, I'm able to go back to work. My hours, however, are rather long, and my content creation schedule may be squeezed. I ordinarily post either on my blog or Twitter daily.
With that being said, I started redgregory.com last winter and I was able to update daily with a two-job-65-hr work schedule and a ton of life drama. I'm sure I'll be able to manage the same workload with weekly YouTube videos at 45 hours and zero drama. lol
I'm happy to return to work as I continue to grow my online presence, and advance my skills in tutorial writing and presentation. I'll be honest with you, I did set a goal in 2020 to be financially independent online and it didn't pan out. I needed to re-adjust my mindset to treat sharing what I learn with others as a lifelong hobby which in the long run will be beneficial.
Having a steady income and hopefully soon some independence again (no offense to my mother. It's been a lovely time) will only enhance my online endeavors regarding production quality especially.
Here are some of my long term goals for content creation.
- Produce high-quality written tutorials across a spectrum of programs. I've found that how-to articles perform particularly well and are a ton of fun to write.
- Produce more content about other subjects. (systems, note-taking, life learning, etc)
- Of course, have a team of writers and talented individuals to create more content.
- Get way better at YouTube. But first, reach 100 decent videos.
- My most ambitious goal: launch a productivity program of my own.
