Hi, Hello! My name is Sarah - the writer behind redgregory.com.
This week has been 5 days of indulgence - not particularly good indulgence but not bad either. I kicked off Monday with a Harry Potter binge. Of course, I thought I could work with it running in the background, and as per usual, I got nothing done. But hey, I got to relive my childhood for a couple days.
There's something about indulgences that seem so easy to avoid on paper but in practice might as well be rocket science. For instance, what happens if you get takeout two days in a row then receive an invite to pizza the next afternoon? Well, you get a salad ... but who really has that level of self control? Not me. Luckily, I'm pretty good at getting my health back in order and I plan on taking a superfood detox for the next 7 days.
Reflection for next week
Let's be real - did I really detox?
Regardless of my rocky start, I managed to get a lot done this week toward the end and I'm happy to report redgregory.com is doing much better than I projected so soon. This is the first side hustle that I feel proud of (sappy, I know).

A Harry Potter Wiki?
I talked about making wikis last week and I've been working on them everyday, however, I very much need to stray away from the "serious" subject matter. I want to make some fun wikis that aren't built to help people or used as student reference. I want to make a wiki because it's fun to make. So, why not start with Harry Potter?
It's proving to be difficult in that I take hobbies too far. We'll see ...
Speaking Of β
I wanted to share my insights and media consumed this week. I grabbed them from my journal hub which you can learn more about here.
- A good story requires constant action and motives in mind that are clear and intense.
- Grab a reader's attention by allowing them to know something the character is yet to understand.
- Make content constantly and make it doable.
- ‴ Simplify ideas into bite-sized content
Goals Update
Last week's red gregory goals
New Goals (a refinement mission)
- Reply to emails more efficiently going forward.
I'm feeling extremely inspired and lucky to have lovely emails coming into my inbox on the subject of workflows and productivity. I love chatting about projects and notion and general lifestyle stuff with others. It really gets me going.
For those high achievers prone to burnout and disappointment due to strict expectations, I'm one of you. Let's talk about it. If you want to vent about time-management woes or brainstorm or even share your cool ideas, don't hesitate to drop me a message.
- Do not plan so goddamn much, girl!
Self explanatory. We've been through this before. Excessive planning is an energy waster. Get it together. π
- Keep it up! Consistency is looking good
I don't have to be too hard on myself this week. I managed to publish 5 articles, get a nice message from my boss, take the dogs to the park every morning and hang with friends in the evenings. I don't want to jinx myself, but hopefully next week is just as productive ...
[Reflection for next week] Did I jinx myself? No I did not π
A New Project (Blank Slate)
I bought a new domain a few days ago ... I shouldn't express what it's going to be quite yet (it pains me to not write about it). It's a collaborative project with a couple very talented people.
Despite its secrecy, I want to jot down vague goals for the next week. For those trying to produce online content, this pre-launch to-do-list may offer moderate insight.
- [Team] Create a backlog of content: We have a 14-day trial before a subscription is required for web hosting. We are using this as our deadline. It's a bit impractical but there is three of us - we can possibly churn out at least 15 articles by then.
- [Self] This is a side project. Treat it as such. Priorities: day job β redgregory.com β new project
- [Team] Figure out color scheme, design and social media approach. This doesn't need to be set in stone but enough so to make future adjustments without extreme changes.
My Mood Tracking Database Thus Far
I'm planning to track my mood through the entire year in order to better understand what is making my poor days poor and what I need to do to fix them - hence, the "cause" property.
