Hi, Hello! My name is Sarah - the writer behind redgregory.com.
With everything going on, with all of the injustices against the African-American community over the centuries—it all came to a head this week. It all sort of exploded in everyone's face. But remember, this movement isn't new. Protests have sprung up in American cities all over the country for years, not just now. Black people have stood up for their lives and continue to call for humanity. They have been reaching out for law-makers and their fellow humans to understand.
Black people are being murdered. Plain and simple. We need to change that. Plain and simple.
I'm glad that the world is waking up. I'm glad that I am waking up, and I urge all of my readers to listen up and speak up. Most importantly, all of this is more than just words. We're past just words. We need change. I urge you to help in the movement to make change. You can do that in a few ways.
- Educate yourself and those around you
- If you can protest, hit the streets
- Donate to any of these organizations
- and please VOTE!
My local church put out a message on their front lawn last week (and I wish I took a picture). It said something like this:
Reflection is the beginning of reform
A short and powerful statement.
It is very true. I am an optimist, at least I try to be, and I believe we're in the beginning stages of reform. We've cracked the door open. We are all reflecting as a community. We're reflecting on our society's actions, our own actions, and the actions of others. We are reflecting on where America has been and is now. But this is just the start.
Now that a good number of us are ridding of denial or apathetic behavior, a path forward is starting to appear—a path that was once covered in blood and cavernous pits upon every step. I want us to be able to walk into the future with ease. I know this won't be the case, but I can at least hope and take each day at a time. There is power in numbers. The energy shift in this country gives me hope that we can create the future everyone deserves ... even if it takes several fights to get there.

My Mood Last Week
I'm planning to track my mood through the entire year in order to better understand what is making my poor days poor and what I need to do to fix them - hence, the "cause" property.
😡I would classify this week as ANGRY. 😡
- BEST DAY: Sunday, June 7th
- WORST DAY: Monday, June 1st
